Projects
BeClan isn't aiming to offer stewardship of a large number of projects, but any project that falls within it's stated objectives or is felt to be best suited to being development under the BeClan umbrella, will be hosted. However, unlike BeUnited (who seem to simply provide hosting), projects hosted by BeClan will require an active development community. It's anticipated that BeClan members will also provide oversight on the projects with the objective of maintaining the quality we'd all like to see.
While BeClan isn't primarily interested in providing hosting space for open source projects (Sourceforge can be used very easily) it will host projects that registered users request in their Subversion repository, allowing the owner direct control over who has access.
What both Sourceforge and BeUnited lack is the help and guidance that BeClan is offering - a service that doesn't need to be tied to hosting!
